Rainy Days in May: Guacimo de Atenas Hitchiker Ratio Still Bullish
The rains have come to Sedolsoder, 500 meters oeste of la escuela, Guacimo de Atenas, Alajuela, Costa Rica. (I was very specific because people like to draw conclusions about the weather here based on internet weather sites – and they are misleading at best and worthless at worst.)
We had eleven days of measurable rain in May and the total was 11.5 inches total for the month. We had trace amounts of rain on another seven days.
That’s a significant increase over last May – almost double in amount and number of days.
Yuck. Too much too soon.
Our hitchhiker activity dropped to 13, primarily because Cat and Jim were visiting from Bowling Green, Kentucky, during the last week in Mayo.
The hitchhiker to rain ratio still is favorable.
UPDATE: Humidity is now running about 85% all day. If the sun isn’t out and there is no breeze, no line-drying stuff, into the dryer!
