Stevie Nicks? That’s a guy right?
I was rasslin’ with three dogs in bed, when CBS Sunday Morning did a promo for a segment on Stevie Nicks. Just to illustrate how out of it I have always been when it comes to rock and roll, I didn’t remember that Stevie Nicks is a woman.
I grew up in a small town (hmmm, that sounds familar) and went to a small high school and small college in the Midwest. I just never got into rock and roll. I like it, but I don’t know any lyrics or who wrote it or when they toured, etc. etc.
I have a friend, that not only knows all that stuff, she is just totally flabbergasted that I DON’T know it. It’s like she wants to drum me out of the generation!
She has such deep knowlege of rock and roll that I want her to blog about it. She could take the Stevie Nicks story and write tons.

I am SO ashamed of you! You are as bad as my friend Chas who didn’t know who Bob Seger is. Yes, Stevie Nicks is a female. I like Fleetwood Mac and I like Stevie, but I have never understood why she always have to have a fan blowing on her in concerts and in her videos. I think she likes the way she looks with her hair blowing. She also likes to wear filmy skirts that blow…very feminine looking. Anyway, I like that whiskey and cigarette voice. And I saw the same interview on Sunday Morning. Sorry to say I did NOT think of you when I saw it.

Stevie Nicks is overrated. I’ve never liked her voice or been a fan. She sounds like a guy.
