I would like to join every woman in America in a collective: DUH!

Men have always worked.  We decided we needed more toys and time to play with them. So we cut back on the overtime or gave up that second job needed to sustain the household and convinced our brides that if she would take a job, we would help out around the house.

We’re still trying to get back at them for that rib we gave Eve and the apple deal that got us kicked out of the garden.

Mr. Krueger, analyzing time-use studies over the last four decades, has found an even starker pattern. Since the 1960s, men have gradually cut back on activities they find unpleasant. They now work less and relax more.

Over the same span, women have replaced housework with paid work — and, as a result, are spending almost as much time doing things they don’t enjoy as in the past. Forty years ago, a typical woman spent about 23 hours a week in an activity considered unpleasant, or 40 more minutes than a typical man. Today, with men working less, the gap is 90 minutes.

Here’s how us guys helped. We bought her a microwave, dishwasher, disposal, etc. using our good credit. We bought televisions with remote control. We ate more take-out food. We got her a riding lawnmower. We took her car to the car wash and the “lube-’em-up-roll-’em-out” oil changer dudes. We added a nice deck to the house for our cook-outs.

Yeah, that helped.

It’s those damned feminists that screwed everything up.

Feminism, like all it’s Marxist cousins such as “gay rights” and “black rights,” is at its core a philosophy of envy, anger and resentment.

If we just would have put our foot down and made them keep their bras on during the ’60’s, not let them wear pants in the ’70’s, all that big hair in the 80’s, then they wouldn’t be so unhappy because they wouldn’t know better.
