  1. Greetings I am so grateful I found your website, I really
found you by error, while I was browsing on Aol for something else, Regardless I
am here now and would just like to say thanks a lot for a incredible post and a all round interesting blog (I also love the theme/design),
I don’t have time to go through it all at the minute
but I have saved it and also included your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back
to read a lot more, Please do keep up the awesome b.

  2. @Winston: Colors – main problem! Nancy uses IE 7 regularly. I have both Safari’s and with Mac, just so much more stable than FF. But I should do a clean install of FF just to compare, I guess. Nah, who cares!

@Kirk: I just had a great idea: I will use your language in the right column about the design.

  3. Sixty,

Feel free to use all the language you want. You can even quote me if you wish. And hey, if your crap is popular…it ain’t crap so to speak. You know who you are. 😀

    Kirk M’s last blog post..Whoops!

  4. Hmmm… I’m looking at this in IE6 as I type and it looks fine ‘cept for the colors are quite different from FF, which is where I live. First time I’ve been in IE6 in months, and wouldn’t touch IE7 with Gretchen’s ten foot pole. Just yesterday I downloaded the Windows version of Safari3 and going to give it a whirl. As time allows, of course, which it don’t, much of the time…

  5. @Kirk: I may incorporate that into my blog header. Your language sounds pretty appropriate. I just hate it that a large percentage of readers are seeing crap. (other than what I write.)

  6. Sixty,

You’re in luck. Firefox 3 fixes the memory problem. Yes…it does…I can attest to it despite the loony pills. I’ve been testing the nightly builds for the past 3 months now and the leaks are fixed (that doesn’t count for poorly written plugins of course).

Also, I believe I’ve said this before somewhere or another, your site here renders properly, including the colors, when viewed in Internet Explorer 8.0 beta 1 in it’s default configuration (adheres to web standards it does) so don’t waste your time doing up separate CSS code just for folks still using IE 6.0/7.0. Those browsers will never go away if site authors keep catering to them.

Just stick up a sign that says “Best viewed using a real browser and that don’t mean IE 6.0 and/or 7.0! Just deal with it.” or something to that effect. Make it up, you’re good at that. 😛

  7. @trailerparkbarbie: I was a FF evangelist until it started to hog memory and crash unless I uninstalled and reinstalled a “fresh” version. I’m going to switch to Safari and will write a post in a few weeks about the change.

  8. Oh crap! I had no idea. I wouldn’t touch Internet Explorer with a ten-foot pole, even if it was Rupert Grint’s ten-foot pole. I use Safari at home and Firefox at the office.

    Gretchen’s last blog post..Ack! Penis!
