  1. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your website? My blog is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my users would really benefit from some of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this okay with you. Thank you!

  2. @Marcelo: Yum. Pork Potatoes! We saw them as we were paying. Wish we would have gotten a couple “to go.”
I can vouch for the cleanness – at least the part we saw. Spotless.

  3. Just read this article and wanted to let you all know that this place is one of the best places to it around, if you stop by make sure to grab a couple of pork potatoes!!! they are awesome I recomended. Good clean place with excelent food and hard working people.

  4. Hey this is Meghan i am actually the one who waited on the couple. My grandfather is the one who actually owns that restaurant its a family business. I truly appreciate what you did about writing a blog about our restaurant. Thanks so much and im really glad you enjoyed it. If you ever get hungry and are down in the area i really hope you can stop by again.

  5. I LOVE little places like this! That’s one of the great pleasures of my job, it takes me all over the place and one of the truth’s I’ve found is the best food comes in the smallest and sometimes crappiest looking packages. There’s a place around Huntsville, AL if you ever get down there called Mary’s Pit Barbecue (actually its in Maysville just east of Huntsville). Without a doubt the best pork barbecue in the country! They’re only open Thursday thru Sunday but it is definately worth the trip and the wait!

  6. @Gretchen: There is a chain in Memphis called Corky’s that does good Q, but as with good wine, the thrill is in the hunt. If you can get close by interstate, it’s just not as good. Yeah, even if it was wonderful, I would still turn up my nose. 🙂

  7. Found your WONDERFUL site through Springboard Press and just love it. Seeing as how we boomers all need to stick together, we invite you to peruse and giggle at our blog:

We’ve been at it since last summer and have been featured in MORE Magazine’s Jan/Feb issue as ‘Women of the Blogoshpere.’ We’re having more fun than should be allowed and are now working on a pilot sitcom based on our nutty videos!

Here’s a tease video (from our Netflix video reviews) for your enjoyment:

The rest may be accessed on the right side of our blog pages (in blue print). Pass the word, as that’s how this crazy thing works, right?

  8. That place sounds awesome. You can get some good BBQ in the Santa Maria (Central Coast) area of California, but apart from that it’s hit and miss. Our ace in the hole is a CA/AZ/NV chain called Lucille’s (http://www.lucillesbbq.com) where you can get reliably good Southern food, as well as really well crafted mint juleps. We go there at least twice a month. But I think folks from your area would be underwhelmed by it.
