Tinnitus Means It’s Never Quiet – And I Don’t Want It To Be Quiet — 3 Comments

  1. I have tinnitus. I’ve had it for a long time, probably since high school, but I didn’t realize it back then. My sister has it, too. And my dad had it. Dad we knew why he had it, or thought we did. Dad blew stuff up as a kid. Lots of stuff. Lots of explosions. And then he joined the army. Guns, bombs, lots of big booms. But my sister and I, we didn’t build any bombs or join the army. We’re not sure why we have it. But we sure do hate it. And we hate it when people dismiss how much of a problem it can be, or try to minimize it for us like the guy responding to the letter did.
