One More Ageist Blow to Boomers
I thought at 65 you could expect some small perks, like a free coffee at McDonald’s or the cheapest movie ticket, or being able to retire and draw your SS, or hit from the shorter tees at the golf course.
I played in a scramble last week, and in order to hit from the shorter tees, you had to be 80 years old. Eighty freaking years old! Now I don’t care how old you are, eighty is OLD.
Of course, I would never hit from the shorter tees at age 65 because the verbal abuse from everyone on the course would be unbearable. Or I could remove my hearing aids and not give a crap.
65? I thought it was 70 or 75 before you start getting perks.
